How often is data updated?

Data updates automatically every hour through our automated systems. Price data, sentiment scores, social mentions, and news are all refreshed hourly. You can also manually refresh the dashboard at any time using the refresh button.

Sentiment Analysis

How is sentiment calculated?

Our sentiment score is calculated using a proprietary AI algorithm that analyzes multiple data sources including social media discussions (25% weight), news articles (30% weight), price movements (25% weight), and social volume (20% weight). The algorithm uses natural language processing and machine learning to assess positive, negative, and neutral indicators.

What do sentiment scores mean?

Sentiment scores range from 0-100:

  • 70-100 (Bullish): Strong positive sentiment, potential upward momentum
  • 40-70 (Neutral): Mixed sentiment, uncertain or transitional phase
  • 0-40 (Bearish): Negative sentiment, potential downward pressure

How accurate is sentiment analysis?

Sentiment analysis is a powerful tool but not a crystal ball. Our algorithms are sophisticated and continuously improving, but they can't predict the future or account for unexpected events. Sentiment should be used as one of several indicators in your investment research, not as the sole basis for decisions.

Can sentiment data be manipulated?

While our algorithms are designed to filter spam and detect anomalies, coordinated social media campaigns ("pump and dump" schemes) can temporarily influence sentiment scores. This is why we recommend using multiple indicators and conducting thorough research. Unusually rapid sentiment changes should be investigated carefully.

Features & Functionality

What are Market Signals?

Market Signals show the top 3 cryptocurrencies with actionable insights based on sentiment levels. "Strong Buy" signals (sentiment ≥70) suggest bullish momentum, "Caution" signals (sentiment ≤40) indicate bearish conditions, and "Watch" signals (40-70) suggest high volatility or uncertainty.

What is the Fear & Greed Index?

The Fear & Greed Index measures market emotions on a 0-100 scale. Low values indicate fear (potential buying opportunities), high values indicate greed (potentially overheated markets). It combines volatility, momentum, social media activity, and market dominance to create a comprehensive emotional snapshot.

How do time ranges work?

Time range buttons (1h, 24h, 7d, 30d) let you view price changes and sentiment trends over different periods. Historical comparisons require data accumulation—1-hour data becomes available after 1 hour of operation, 7-day data after 7 days, etc. This helps you distinguish short-term volatility from longer-term trends.

What are Whale Alerts?

Whale Alerts track large cryptocurrency transactions (typically millions of dollars) made by major holders. These movements can signal potential market shifts—transfers to exchanges may indicate selling pressure, while transfers to cold storage suggest long-term holding.

Can I set up price alerts?

Custom alerts are coming soon as part of our premium features. You'll be able to set price thresholds, sentiment change notifications, social volume spikes, and whale activity warnings delivered via email, SMS, or push notifications. Click "Set Alert" on the homepage to learn more.

Data & Privacy

Where does your data come from?

We aggregate data from multiple trusted sources: CoinGecko (price data), CryptoCompare (news), and various social media platforms (Twitter/X, Reddit, Discord, Telegram). All sources are reputable and widely used in the cryptocurrency industry.

Do you collect my personal information?

We collect minimal data necessary for operating the website, such as anonymous usage statistics and technical information (browser type, device). We do not collect personal information unless you contact us directly. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.

Do you use cookies?

Yes, we use cookies for essential functionality and analytics. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for detailed information about what cookies we use and why.

Is my data secure?

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect data. However, since we don't require accounts or collect sensitive personal information, there's minimal data at risk. We use HTTPS encryption for all communications and follow best practices for web security.

Investment & Trading

Should I buy/sell based on your signals?

No. Our platform provides information and analysis, not financial advice. Never make investment decisions based solely on sentiment scores or market signals. Always conduct thorough research, consult with qualified financial professionals, and only invest what you can afford to lose.

How should I use sentiment data in my strategy?

Use sentiment as one component of a comprehensive strategy that includes technical analysis, fundamental research, risk management, and portfolio diversification. Sentiment works best when combined with other indicators and understanding of broader market conditions.

Can I trust high sentiment scores?

High sentiment can indicate opportunity but also risk. Extreme optimism (greed) sometimes precedes corrections, while extreme pessimism (fear) can present buying opportunities. Context matters—consider whether sentiment aligns with fundamentals, technical patterns, and broader market trends.

What's the difference between sentiment and price action?

Sentiment reflects investor mood and expectations, while price action shows actual market behavior. Sometimes they align, sometimes they diverge. Divergences can be significant—for example, falling prices with rising sentiment might indicate accumulation by informed investors.
