Getting Started

1
Understanding the Dashboard

The main dashboard displays real-time cryptocurrency sentiment data for 30+ top cryptocurrencies. Each crypto card shows the current price, 24-hour change, sentiment score, and social metrics. Click on any card to view detailed information including news, social mentions, and historical trends.

2
Market Overview Stats

The four cards at the top show key market indicators: Market Sentiment (overall market mood), Fear & Greed Index (emotional state of investors), Social Volume (total mentions), and Whale Alerts (large transactions). Click any card to learn more about what it measures and why it matters.

3
Time Range Selection

Use the time range buttons (1h, 24h, 7d, 30d) to view price changes and sentiment trends over different periods. This helps you identify short-term volatility versus longer-term trends. Historical data accumulates over time, so 7-day comparisons become available after 7 days of operation.

4
News Feed

The right sidebar displays the latest cryptocurrency news with automatic sentiment analysis. Green dots indicate positive news, red dots indicate negative news, and gray dots indicate neutral content. Click any news item to read the full article on the source website.

Best Practices

Use Multiple Indicators

Don't rely on sentiment alone. Combine sentiment analysis with technical analysis, fundamental research, and market trends for comprehensive decision-making.

Understand the Context

High sentiment doesn't always mean "buy" and low sentiment doesn't always mean "sell." Consider broader market conditions, news events, and your investment strategy.

Monitor Trends Over Time

Use different time ranges to identify whether sentiment changes are temporary fluctuations or sustained trends. Compare 1-hour data with 7-day and 30-day trends.

Be Wary of Extremes

Extreme fear can present buying opportunities (contrarian approach), while extreme greed may signal overheated markets. Consider using sentiment extremes as contrary indicators.

Verify Information

Always click through to read full news articles and verify information from multiple sources. Social media sentiment can be manipulated or based on misinformation.

Manage Risk Appropriately

Never invest more than you can afford to lose. Use sentiment data as part of a broader risk management strategy that includes position sizing, stop losses, and diversification.

Data Sources & Updates

Price Data

Real-time cryptocurrency prices, market capitalization, and trading volume are sourced from CoinGecko API. Data updates hourly via automated systems to ensure accuracy and freshness.

News Data

Cryptocurrency news is aggregated from CryptoCompare and other trusted sources. Our AI analyzes article content and assigns sentiment scores (positive, negative, neutral) based on keyword analysis and natural language processing.

Social Media Data

Social mentions are tracked across Twitter/X, Reddit, and other major platforms. We count total mentions and analyze sentiment patterns to gauge community interest and emotional response.

Update Frequency

Our platform updates automatically every hour. Historical data is saved to enable trend analysis over different time periods. You can manually refresh data using the refresh button on the dashboard.

Common Issues

Data not loading or showing errors

Try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, our data providers may be experiencing temporary outages. Data should restore automatically within a few minutes.

Historical data not available

Historical comparisons require data accumulation. 1-hour data is available after 1 hour, 7-day data after 7 days, etc. The platform has been running since launch and accumulates data continuously.

Sentiment scores seem inaccurate

Sentiment analysis is based on automated algorithms and may not capture all nuances. Use sentiment as one of many indicators, not as absolute truth. Market sentiment can change rapidly.
